New Release in time for Christmas

From 1973 onwards, the BMW 3.0 CSL was the most powerful street version of the series. The engineers achieved their ambition of a more competitive model, via greater capacity, output, extremely lightweight construction and a striking aero package. BMW fans came up with the nickname Batmobile due to its’ front lower air dam, wing strakes, rear roof spoiler and larger rear wing. Finished in Chamonix White, with BMW M Colour Stripes and a black interior.
CSL” stands for “Coupe Sport Lightweight”– and the developers take the L in the abbreviation literally. Almost every component of the BMW 3.0 CSL is weighed, measured and, if possible, replaced by a lighter one. The doors, the boot lid and the bonnet are made of aluminium, the lightest material used in vehicle construction some 50 years ago. Metal components are also optimised for weight: the roof, the partition to the luggage compartment, the wheel arches and the front and rear side panels are now made of thin sheet metal and the rear and side windows made of Plexiglass.
“Batmobile” kit:
Many examples have been equipped with the genuine BMW “Batmobile” package, which includes a front lower air dam, wing strakes, a rear roof spoiler, and a large rear wing.
