First seen at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1995 and sales began in 1999. The TT  has an enduring appeal and is instantly recognisable with its’ unique shape.
The platform-sharing masterplan meant that the TT was based on the Golf MkIV, Audi A3, Skoda Octavia and Beetle, but with better suspension, dampers and steering rack. The wheelbase was shorter than the Golf and its track wider to provide a sharper, more sporting response.
